In this two-hour workshop you will begin by exploring the ancient Chinese tradition of Tai Chi – a gentle form of physical exercise, performed in a slow, flowing, focused manner. Tai Chi is commonly used for stress reduction and to mitigate a variety of other health concerns. After approximately 90 minutes of this moving meditation, participants will be guided through an ancient eastern breathing technique to clear the body of any stuck or blocked energy. The benefits of practicing breathwork regularly allows you to experience of deep relaxation, detoxes your cells and organs, heals physical and emotional pain, reduces stress and anxiety, and opens you up to living your life fully present.

About Katherine Kane (Tai Chi)
Katherine had the privilege of studying Tai Chi with Sifu Andrew Lum for 15 years. Prior to that she studied Alexander Technique for three years with Ari Gil in San Diego and with Helen Higa in Honolulu, HI. Katherine believes Tai Chi is Alexander Technique in motion - it allows you to access your inner breath and light to flow through and awaken, nurture, and heal the body.
About Katy Shaw (Breathwork facilitator)
Katy Shaw is a level 4 certified breathwork practitioner trained by master healer David Elliott. She facilitates breathwork and yoga at Turtle Bay, Hot Yoga by the Sea, and has a private practice in Kaaawa. Katy assists one in awakening to a deeper level of love; through breathwork, movement, and other healing modalities.
